Welcome to
THE BALD HILL
FIREWISE COMMUNITY
CONCERNED ABOUT FIRE IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD?
The risk of a wildfire emergency is real and we want to do what we can to help each other be safe.
We're your neighbors on Bald Hill who have formed a neighborhood Firewise community. We are an all volunteer group that works together to minimize the danger of wildfires. We have created a network to educate ourselves on how to prevent and prepare for fires, and how to leave safely if necessary. Our neighborhood has thick vegetation, narrow roads and few exit routes, so we will need to help each other evacuate in an emergency.
Our goals are to:
-
Know each other face to face as neighbors
-
Locate our neighbors who may need extra help in an emergency
-
Identify dangerous conditions and learn how to address them
-
Find resources that are available to help us reduce our vegetation fuel loads and mitigate other hazards.
-
Form a close-knit community where we all look out for each other.
Would you be willing to share your email with us so we can communicate wildfire prevention information and let you know about wildfire education events? We'll also have informative and fun get-togethers. Please join us to participate in our mission. Neighbors who live on the following streets are part of our Bald Hill Firewise Community. Our 313 homes are located on the following streets in San Anselmo:
Wildfires are here to stay so we must adapt.
