FireSafe Marin deployed goats in San Anselmo!
On June 6, 2020 neighbors watched as some 400 goats were herded through a San Anselmo neighborhood Saturday morning and brought to the Laurel-Redwood fire road to reduce vegetation near properties there.
For 4 days last week our Laurel Canyon area saw a dramatic clearing of dangerous vegetation and our entire Bald Hill Firewise community is much safer after the efforts of these herd workers (pun intended). We wish to send out our deep appreciation to Star Creek Land Stewards, to Todd Lando and FIRESafe Marin, and the Town of San Anselmo for making this happen.
